What Our Clients Say
I’ve been doing my personal tax returns with Bruno for over 10 years, so when I recently joined my husband in his business, there was no question that we’d move everything over to All Square Accountants.
My husband’s books were a bit of a mess, but Bruno and Matheus have been amazing. They took the time to really listen and understand our situation, and they’ve been helping us get everything organised so we can start fresh and keep things on track from now on.
Every time I have a question, they’re always happy to help and explain things clearly. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and it’s such a relief knowing we have accountants we can genuinely trust.
We’re so grateful for all their help and couldn’t be happier with the service we’ve received. I highly recommend All Square Accountants to anyone looking for knowledgeable, reliable, and genuinely caring accountants.
I opened my business over a year ago, and I’m so glad I found All Square Accountants. I only wish I had known about them from day one!
Our books were a mess, but they helped us get everything back on track and gave us a clear understanding of our financial situation. I highly recommend Thais, who has been supporting us every step of the way. She is knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to help.
I’m now also using All Square Accountants for my personal tax return, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. If you’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy accountant, I highly recommend them.
I’ve been working with All Square Accountants for over eight years, and throughout that time they’ve helped me with both personal and investment-related accounting matters.
What I value most is the consistency of the service. The team takes the time to understand my situation, explains things clearly, and gives practical advice without turning every conversation into an accounting lecture.
They have helped make tax time far less stressful and have always been reliable, approachable and professional. After eight years, I can confidently say All Square is one of those businesses you keep using because they continue to earn your trust year after year.
They are very good with numbers, but fortunately, also very good with people. Highly recommended!
Outstanding service from start to finish. Reliable, efficient, and great attention to detail. I have complete confidence in their expertise and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy accountant.

As a sole trader, what documents do I need to provide for my tax return?
If you don’t currently use a bookkeeping system, we’ll just need your business bank statements (in both PDF and CSV formats) along with receipts for any business expenses. That’s all we need to get started!
Do I have to come into your office to get my tax return done?
Not at all — while you’re welcome to visit us in person in our cosy office in Southport, we can just as easily complete your return online or over the phone. Simply send through your documents electronically, we’ll give you a call to go through any questions, and you can review and sign everything digitally. It’s a convenient option if you’re busy, interstate, or just prefer not to make the trip in.
How do I lodge my tax return if my TFN has been compromised?
Unfortunately, TFN compromise isn’t rare anymore — scammers evolve as fast as technology does. Once compromised, the ATO adds extra security checks that can complicate lodging your return. That’s where we come in: we’ll liaise directly with the ATO, walk you through the verification steps, and navigate any restrictions for you.
What can I claim on my investment property?
Common deductions include mortgage interest, property management fees, council and water rates, body corporate fees, landlord insurance, repairs and maintenance (as distinct from improvements), and depreciation on the building and fittings — usually via a quantity surveyor’s depreciation schedule. Bring us your full expense records and we’ll work out exactly what applies to your situation.
What documents do I need to provide to declare my crypto?
The ATO treats crypto as an asset for capital gains tax purposes, so you’ll need a record of every transaction — buys, sells, swaps, and trades all count, even crypto-to-crypto trades. Useful documents include exchange transaction histories/statements, wallet addresses, dates of each acquisition and disposal, and the cost base (purchase price plus any fees). If you’ve used a portfolio tracker like Koinly or CoinTracker, exporting a full transaction report makes things much easier for us to process. If you’re trading rather than investing, or you’re earning staking rewards, the treatment changes, tell us and we’ll work out which applies.
I am an Uber driver, what do I need to know about my tax?
Rideshare driving has a couple of quirks compared to other sole trader work. You’ll need an ABN, and unlike most small businesses, you must register for GST from your very first dollar of rideshare income — there’s no $75,000 threshold exemption. You’ll also need to lodge quarterly Business Activity Statements. Keep your annual tax summary from the Uber platform, along with records of your car running costs, phone use, and any cleaning or supplies — we can help you decide between the logbook method and cents-per-kilometre method for claiming vehicle expenses.
I haven't lodged in years. What happens?
Less than you’re imagining, usually. This is more common than people think, and we’ve seen worse. Here’s what surprises most people: you probably don’t need the records you think you do. As your registered agent, we can pull years of income statements, interest, dividends, and health fund details from the ATO. What’s holding you back is often already sitting in the system.
The other surprise is the outcome. Your overdue tax returns may turn out to be refunds, and refunds or nil returns usually escape a penalty. The key is not waiting for the ATO to move first. So we check what’s outstanding, give you a likely number upfront, work out which years need a return versus a non-lodgement advice, and arrange a payment plan if there’s a debt. In that order.
When do I have to lodge my tax return?
If you lodge your own return, it’s due 31 October. If you’re on our client list before then, your due date generally moves to 15 May next year which means six months of breathing room, automatically.
That’s not a trick. It’s how the ATO’s lodgment program works for registered agents. But you have to be on the list before 31 October, and it doesn’t apply if you’ve got prior years outstanding.
